WhatsApp has warned users that if they do not accept the new privacy policy, the account will not be deleted and many features will be discontinued one by one.
The company said in a statement on its website that the new policies would be reviewed and a reminder would be sent a few weeks later.
The company has since stated that the services will be phased out, and that users will no longer be able to use the chat list.
However, incoming WhatsApp calls and video calls can be read and answered if the notification is enabled and Mist can make phone calls and video calls.
After that, if the new policy is not accepted, the sending of SMS and incoming calls will be stopped.
